Bolt action rifle, highly accurate and cheap
The Kar98k is a German WW2 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle that can be purchased off the wall and from the Mystery Box
As a wall-buy it is known by players to be rather mediocre as an early game weapon, although dealing good headshot damage and having high bullet penetration it often gets outclassed by SMGs due to its slow fire rate and not giving much points compared to other weapons. In later rounds however when upgraded using it is known to outperform many guns due to its amazing headshot damage and bullet penetration and is often chosen by players going for higher rounds.
When using this weapon its always recommended to have the Double Tap perk as it not only increases its firerate but also the headshot damage that the weapon is infamous amongst players for. A major drawback of the weapon however is that it relies on Pack-a-Punch for it to be a viable weapon on later rounds making it unviable in maps like Lighthouse where Pack-a-Punch can be only obtained through a power up.

When Pack-A-Punched the Kar98k turns into the 98k Beheaded, it has higher damage with massively increased headshot multipliers and more ammo.

Trivia[]
- The Kar98k is currently the only bolt action rifle in the game as of Alpha 1.5.0.
- The prices of buying it off the wall in Undead Nocturn compared to The Giant are fairly different with the gun being 300 points cheaper in Undead Nocturn, it is unclear why the price has been lowered other than possibly the fact that in Call of Duty: World at War the Kar98k was also a 200 point wall weapon.
